CSD Admission and Application Requirements

 

The journey of spiritual direction is deeply enriched by personal experience. To ensure a strong foundation for guiding others, applicants to the Certificate in Spiritual Direction (CSD) program must begin meeting with a spiritual director (if possible, 3–6 months prior to starting the program). A list of available certified spiritual directors will be provided and discussed with you.

 

Upon acceptance, CSD students are required to continue meeting with a spiritual director monthly throughout the duration of the program. This practice not only enhances personal spiritual growth but also provides essential grounding for the training and ministry of spiritual direction.

An in-person retreat during the summer is encouraged for face-to-face residency. It is held at a wonderful retreat center in the St. Louis area for ease of travel.
