This groundbreaking three-year, cohort-based program—offered online and in person—equips pastors, missionaries, and Christian leaders to cultivate deep listening, discernment, and spiritual accompaniment. The Certificate in Spiritual Direction, a collaborative program between the Institute for Ministerial Wholeness and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, is designed to equip Christian leaders with the theological depth, discernment, and practical skills needed to accompany others on the path of spiritual formation.

This three-year, cohort-based program—offered both online and in person—integrates rich theological foundations with embodied practice. The journey culminates in a supervised practicum year, giving students hands-on experience in listening, discernment, and spiritual accompaniment. Grounded in Scripture and rooted in the historic Christian practice of spiritual direction, the program cultivates a deep awareness of God’s presence and movement in one’s life and ministry.

This marks the first certificate of its kind offered in conjunction with an Assemblies of God institution of higher learning.
